Courses I Teach

ADULT COURSES

I teach courses at City Lit in Covent Garden London, where I was previously a student myself! These courses are now ONLINE using Zoom so do take advantage if you live too far away to attend normally!

New for 2024 I am excited to be teaching ‘Writing YA’ for the Faber Academy. This 12 week course ran for the first time in March 2024 and the feedback was amazing! It will run again in September 2024. See below for details.

I also offer private one to one tuition, short courses, workshops and mentoring so do enquire by clicking ‘Contact Me’.

You can read about my teaching work here and there is also an article from one of my students, Attiya Khan, whose book ‘Ten Steps to Me’ came out in September 2021.

Recent feedback:

Writing YA was a fantastic course which I would highly recommend to anyone interested in writing, at whatever stage they are at in their journey. During the course of the 12 weeks I have grown in confidence through the feedback from the tutor and classmates. I have been able to develop an idea for, fully plan out and make a start on my novel, receiving encouraging and constructive feedback throughout. I feel we have built a supportive community that will continue to flourish after the course ends.
